Severen Djendem Reserve is located on the north slopes of Middle Stara Planina from the
Russalka Peak to the Botev Peak.

It is located in the district of the Apriltsi Municipality and
takes up an area of 1600 xa. The reserve's terrain is very steep, rocky, inaccessible and cut
through by many mountain streams. The Vidimsko Pruskalo (a famous Bulgarian waterfall) is
located in its west side. The reserve has preserved its virgin nature almost unspoiled. Its
flora is exceptionally rich in the endemic species - 13 Bulgarian and 7 Balkan endems. |
