|
|
The Etropole Mountain is situated between the passage of Botevgrad and the one of Zlatitza. Its highest peak is Govedarnika /1790 m/. The most remarkable and natural phenomena are the travertine waterfalls “Varovitetz”, 10-12 m high, just next to the monastery of Etropole and “Vranata voda”, 30-40 m high, formed by the waters of a turbulent karts spring.

| The favorable climatic conditions and nature are a good base for the development of the village and eco-tourism, of hunting and ski-tourism, of alpinism and speleology.
