At the foot of the peak Kamen Lisets near the Vit river, the Kiev duke Glog laid the beginning of a settlement, which was named after him - Glogene. |

In 1838 Vasil Yonkov was born there - the Levski's main courier in the Lovech, Troyan, Orhanie and Etropole areas.
The beautiful nature with historical sights in the vicinity of Glogene - the monastery "St. Georgi Pobedonosets", the waterfall Varovitets, the caves Morovitsa, Draganchovitsa, Bezdunna Pchelin, Yamata - show wide perspectives for development of the settlement as a touristic resort object.
