The monastery of Glogen “St. Georgi Pobedonosets” was built in XIII century, during the reign of Czar Ivan Asen II by the duke Gloj.
|

It is situated on the top Lisets, above the village of Glojene on a rock edge and resembles a medieval castle.
The hiding place of Levski (the Apostle of freedom) is still kept here.
A precious ancient icon, brought by the duke Gloj is kept in the monastery, “St. Georgi Pobedonosets” is depicted on it.
The route to the monastery goes through the village of Maluk Izvor by transport or through the village of Glojene - on foot.
