Botunya River flows through the town - not big and deep but it is famous for the cleanness of its waters and the fish riches. The most important water resource, possessed by Varshets are the mineral waters, which gush 200m away from the town - mainly on the left waterside of Botunya River. The mineral water is clear, colourless with a slight sense of smell of sulphuretted hydrogen. The exploitation capacity of the mineral water is 19-20 l/sec.
